Don't forget to enjoy the Christmas Lights with Your Family

Explore Our History Around You!

Every now and then, you'll run across a website that just fascinates you. The Texas Forts website is one I found that I wanted to share.  If you like history, you'll enjoy reading the countless stories on this site.  By reading many of the accounts, it's easy to see why relations with Native Americans and settlers were often misunderstood and so turbulent. What we can learn from our history!  Click Battlefields and Massacres  to take you to the stories of accounts. Before you do, get you a drink and some munchies because you'll be here awhile. After you're stunned by all the information that's available, why not plan a route your family can take and have a unique fun outing exploring! Go to the Road Trip Maps and get started there.  I've made it easy by providing these links, but the site is actually much larger than just Texas. Don't miss the stuff that's right here in your own backyard though!  I found a very interesting tale about Lonesome Dove and what's just up the road toward Weatherford.  Watch the movie and have a scouting adventure and go exploring.  Have fun with this site! The complete site can be found at www.forttours.com. Enjoy!
